Ignoring Water Heater Sounds Will Haunt You!

While a natural reaction to scary sounds is to immediately turn and flee from the basement, ignoring those scary sounds is a much worse decision. Is the water heater making a loud popping noise? If so, it is likely that a large amount of sediment has accumulated at the bottom of the tank. When the Water Heater Crackles
The water heater is crackling. Now what?! The most likely explanation is a buildup of condensation on or around the burner. Condensation is normal and does not indicate the presence of a leak.
